RG Messages - 2002
22 March 2002 - Hello everyone. Mike Davis here. It seems I have had my head stuck in the sand for a while, but I recently found out about the RG web page and was very happy to do so. Some of the gang may remember me, I was in RG for the 74, 75 season. Had lots of fun, and sang with a lot of great people. I feel we helped to spread God's word and received a greater feeling of his love for us. I often find myself humming or singing a verse from some of the songs we used to sing. I live in Las Vegas, NV. Retired after 20 years in the Air Force, I currently work for a defense contractor dealing with flight operations on the Nellis Range Complex. I would be delighted to hear from anyone. My email address: haroldd360@aol.com I am planning to attend the General H. H. Arnold High School reunion in May in Las Vegas. Hope to see you there! Keep the Fire burning... - Mike Davis
20 April 2002 - Still alive an kickin'. By some quirk of fate, Sharon Swart knew someone, who knew someone, who knew someone and drove by the high school where I direct the choirs and I ended up getting an email. She helped conjure up many memories stored away of many fun times with some talented and fun kids way back when. Besides the music, things that stay in my mind mostly are activities such as our sleep-over in the Darmstadt cemetary way up on top of a hill, telling ghost stories, seeing yellow eyes in the middle of the night near the bombed out church. Funny stuff. Lots of other great memories also. I live in Sacramento, California, teach school and I'm older than dirt now; even so, those years seem not too very far away. Hope everyone is well and has music in their lives in some way. When I left for the USA at the end of my tour, many RG's saw me off at the airport. Sitting on the plane next to this nice old lady. I began to cry and she said, "Oh, leaving a special person behind?" I replied, "Yes, a hundred and twenty-five of them." My best, Ken
